Grand Rounds Speaker Opportunities
The North Carolina Neurological Society offers an annual $1,000 sponsorship to support Grand Rounds lectures in neurology across academic and private institutions in North Carolina. This funding can be used for honoraria and/or travel expenses for an external guest lecturer.
Key Details of the NCNS Grand Rounds Sponsorship
- Timing: NCNS prefers the sponsored Grand Rounds to occur in the fall, allowing the Society to highlight its upcoming annual meeting, typically held in February.
- Lecture Title: It’s recommended to title the event “The North Carolina Neurological Society Grand Rounds at [Your Institution]” to acknowledge the sponsorship.
- NCNS Introduction: A 5–10 minute introduction about the Society should precede the lecture. If no one from your institution is available to provide this, you can request a member of the NCNS executive committee to do so. Please notify Megan Eberle well in advance to coordinate scheduling.
