Thank you to all who attended the 2026 meeting!
More than 200 physicians, APPs, residents, fellows, and medical students gathered at the Omni Grove Park Inn for a weekend of learning, collaboration, and fun. Here’s a quick recap of some highlights from the meeting:
The Neuro Bowl, which pitted Duke, UNC, and Wake Forest residents against each other in a battle of wits, was a major highlight of the weekend. After two rounds of intense competition, the team from UNC prevailed and took home the coveted brain trophy!

- 1st: Suzan Farris, MD (Fellow @ Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist) – “To Stent or not to Stent: That is the question”
- 2nd: Kalyn Dyer, MD (Resident @ Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist) – “A Case of Multifocal Motor Neuropathy Masquerading as Cervical Radiculopathy”
- 3rd: Kayla Jensen, BS (Medical Student @ UNC) – “Clinical Approach to Tremor: A ScholarRx Brick to Improve Understanding of a Common Movement Disorder”
- Presentations: The weekend brought together more than 30 speakers, featuring over 10 presentations during Saturday’s Scientific Session and 15 additional presentations across five breakout sessions on Sunday.
